My career has spanned aviation law, government policy, airline marketing, global Online Travel Agents (OTAs), and now — tourism operator growth. It's an unusual path, but every step of it informs what I do for clients today.

I started out as a qualified solicitor, working in aviation law and policy for the Australian Government before moving to the OECD's International Transport Forum in Paris. From there I moved into commercial roles at Singapore Airlines — managing marketing, partnerships, and commercial strategy across New Zealand and Australia.

Then came the OTA side. As Regional Manager Australia & New Zealand at GetYourGuide, and then Country Manager ANZ at Pelago for five years, I sat inside the platforms and saw exactly how they think — how they rank listings, structure commission, and decide which operators win. I also saw the gap: brilliant operators with incredible experiences, losing to the algorithm because nobody had shown them how to play the game.

So I left the platform side and started Scale Tours — to give operators direct access to the insider knowledge that used to only exist behind corporate walls.
